Melisa Leonna (Tuft) Dunkes, age 48, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on January 5, 2015. Melisa was born on September 11, 1966 in Baltimore and resided in the metropolitan area for most of her life. She was a 1984 graduate of Perry Hall High School and spent her professional career as a registered nurse, providing compassionate care to many. Melisa had a spark and an infectious sense of humor and laugh that will be missed.
Melisa is survived by partner and best friend, Robert Charles Dunkes, children, Robert Charles Dunkes Jr. and Joshua Everett Dunkes; parents John and Brooke Tuft, and sisters Denise Elson and Jonnette Sibson.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road (Overlea). Visitation will be from 2-4 pm, with the service starting at 3 pm.
