Obituary for Robert C. Burton, Jr.

Robert C. Burton, Jr. age 92 of Apopka, Florida formerly of Middle River, MD., died on March 5, 2015. Mr. Burton retired from Edgewood Arsenal, Md as an Engineering Technician in 1977 after 38 years of service. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and Korea. He was a life member of the following: Disabled War Veteran Chapter 30, VFW Post 6506, American Legion Post 130 and the Rossville Pleasure Club. He was also a member of Fallen Timber Hunt Club and the American Legion 40/8. Mr. Burton was a member of Perry Hall United Methodist Church and is survived by his wife Faye, 3 daughters; Robin Brunelle, Kimberly Rogers, Tina Downey all of Florida and two sons, Robert C. Shape of Aberdeen, Md. And James Cage of Rising Sun, Md.; 6 grandsons, 3 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter; 2 brothers Carl Burton and the late John Burton, 2 sisters the late Alma Connor and Gloria Jones, all of Maryland.
The family will receive friends at the E. F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A. in Kingsville, 11750 Belair Rd on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9pm. Further visiting will be held at the Perry Hall United Methodist Church 9515 Belair Rd. on Saturday from 9:30am until 10am, at which time funeral services will begin. Interment Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
