On March 27th, 2017, Edwin Marcwayne Evans loving and beloved husband of Marie Lucille Evans (nee Smit) lost his courageous battle with cancer. He was the oldest son of the late Edwin Lewis and Mary (Lang) Evans. Also predeceased by a sister, Anna Newcomer. Survived by his brother, Charles, several sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, cherished uncle to many nephews and nieces, great nieces, great-great niece and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Ed was a former member of the Army Reserve. He enjoyed many hobbies including woodworking, classic cars, and traveling. In addition to working at Monumental Life and Social Security, Ed also fulfilled his entrepreneurial dreams of owning his own business on 2 occasions. During their retirement, Ed and Marie enjoyed spending time at their retirement home that they built together.

Visiting at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road (Kingsville) on Thursday, March 30, 2017, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 31, 2017, at 11:00 am. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Edwin Marcwayne Evans may be directed to support the Brain Cancer Research Program, Dr Matthias Holdhoff MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Onconolgy at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center.
