Condolences & Tributes

We encourage you to share any memorable photos or stories about Phyllis. All tributes placed on and purchased through this memorial website will remain on in perpetuity for future generations.

Remembering Dr Pullen with the fondest of memories. She was a 'country doctor' that excelled above and beyond any 'city doc' could hope to. Her instincts were unparalleled. Her example paved the path that led me to my own personal medical career. So sorry for your loss; she will be sincerely missed by MANY.

I met Phyllis Pullen 20 years ago at a Canine Good Citizen class and we have been friends ever since. I admired her love for the Norwich Terrier breed and her dedication in promoting it with training, showing and breeding of exceptional dogs. Because of Phyllis I was able to breed my dog Ahsie to her handsome Georgie and through the years we produced dogs that excelled in all types of sports. One of their puppies Ace was ranked in the top 5 Norwich in the USA to receive an invitation to the AKC Agility Invitationals for 4 consecutive years (2015-2018). He also qualified for the AKC Agility Nationals for 3 consecutive years (2015-2017), what an incredible little dog with the heart of a Jaguar! Phyllis I will miss your grace and wisdom and I believe you are now with all your dogs that you so loved.

We met Phyllis 21 yeas ago when we were looking for a Norwich Terrier. Kira became our cherished four-legged family member. She and her brother Chutney shared many visits in Kingsville and Arlington, Va. Phyllis and I, as well as my son Rainer formed a loving bond during those visits and we stayed in touch through e mails and phone calls.. After both Nikki and Chutney were no longer with us, we relied on Phyllis’ help and approval wto find another Norwich a year later.. Our visits, e-mails and phone calls continued until a few months ago. We considered Phyllis to be a good friend and a remarkable woman. She will live in our hearts forever.

Vickie, I was your neighbor on Windstream Way 22 years ago. Dr. Pullen was my doctor when I was a child. She was a wonderful lady and a caring doctor. May she rest easy and walk among the stars.

I am so very sorry to hear of Dr. Pullen’s passing. I visited her in August bringing my Norwich and Westie for a “play date” with her Norwich terrier. We had a lovely visit on a beautiful day sitting in her yard while the dogs played together. Dr. Pullen was a wonderful person. She will be missed.

We had the privilege of knowing Dr Pullen for nearly fifty years as her patients, as her dog owners, as our client at Dr Cook’s. Please know we treasured her as well. Accept our warmest thoughts for your family at this time.
