I worked with John in the Baltimore Field Office and he always made the admin staff laugh and teased us constantly. Years later while working at USSS training center someone came up to me and said you need to look out the window someone is waiting to say hello. There was John standing on the sidewalk next to a bus of retired agents waving to me. Thoughts and prayers to Lynn and family. RIP John.

Saddened to learn of John's passing. I have many fond memories, as a new agent, working with him at the Seattle Field Office (1970). Rest in peace my friend, my thoughts and prayers are with your family.

God's blessings and our continued prayers for Lynn and John's family during this difficult. John and I both started in the Secret Service in 1965 and had many assignments together. John was a professional and dedicated agent and a great colleague to many. John will be missed - Rest in Peace Dear Friend and Colleague

Like Tom Dailey, I also began my USSS career in 1965, but in Los Angeles, later in Washington, DC, and Portland, OR. John Pforr was a peer and a colleague . John was a solid and reliable member of a cohort which always performed assignments and duties in a understated but highly professional and competent manner. John was part of a team which made things work. His dedication and service were exemplary, behaviors to be honored and respected. His survivors have every right to be proud of his service. Alan L. Baker - USSS Ret.
