Linda Kay Nizer (nee McNew) was born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 17,1941 to the parents of Ralph and Lillie McNew and lived all of her life in Overlea. Linda passed away peacefully on January 11, 2021 after a brave fight with failing medical issues.
Linda enjoyed watching the Orioles and the Ravens. She loved to cook, garden and enjoyed visiting the Overlea - Fullerton Senior Center where Ed and her became members.
Linda and Ed had known each other since grade school and had gone separate ways. After a chance encounter in a grocery store, they reconnected and married in July of 1993.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Daniel Nizer, her parents, Ralph and Lillie McNew and her sister Shirley Fuller and brother-in-law Jim Fuller. She is survived by her son Ralph Eugene Bell, daughter-in-law Lisa Bell, sister Edith Anne Figgs, brother Herbert Ralph McNew, sister-in-law Margaret McNew, Laurie and Bob Buckley, and Daniel and Debbie Nizer. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Josh and Candance Buckley, Conner and Alex Buckley, Jessica Davis, Christina Nizer, and Chelsi Nizer. She is survived by great grandchildren, Knox Buckley, Dominic Manna, Elias Johnson, and Sawyer Shuman.
If you asked Linda what was her most valuable assets, she would answer without hesitation, her family and her friends.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
