Robert James Gunther passed away on Saturday September 3, 2022 at his home in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. He was born in Baltimore, Jan. 11, 1936 to Francis Gunther and Florence (Huber) Gunther. He is predeceased by his two sons, Robert F. Gunther and Michael J. Gunther. Also by his long time loving and caring significant other Betty Lou Michelman. Robert had one sister Frances E. Hyde and her five children Bill, Bonnie, Shirley, Wanda and Robert James Cox. Robert (Bob) was a Civil Engineer graduate of Hopkins University (1958) and after working at Whitman Requardt, he then worked for the U.S. Government at Baltimore District Corps of Engineers, Fort Meade and retiring in 1991 from the Harry Diamond Labs in Adelphi, MD. He served 6 years in the Army, a lifetime member of the American legion.

A graveside service will be held at Parkwood Cemetery on Friday, September 16, 2022, at 10 am.
