Amos Shriver, Jr. peacefully passed away on August 20, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family.
He was the beloved husband of Dianne Shriver with whom he shared more than 35 years of marriage built on love, devotion and partnership. He was a devoted father to Matthew Shriver. He was preceded in death by his parents Edna & Amos Shriver, Sr. Amos was always there for them.
Amos was born and raised in Maryland. His greatest joy was his family. He cherished every moment spent with them. Amos will be lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, niece and nephew and their families and friends, all of whom were touched by his kindness and warmth.
Amos proudly graduated from Eastern Vo Tech and went on to graduate from the University of Maryland at College Park. He never stopped cheering for his alma mater, whether in person or at home. An avid sports fan and sports card collector, he always supported his beloved Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles.
Amos will be remembered for his deep love of family, his strong work ethic, his willingness to help others, fierce sense of right and wrong and the countless memories he created with those he loved. His kindness, strength, and steadfast devotion will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Viewing will be held at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road (Kingsville) on Monday, August 24, 2026 from 11:00 to 2:00 pm. The funeral service will be held graveside at Bel Air Memorial Gardens.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Amos Shriver after the graveside ceremony at The Bowman Restaurant, 9306 Harford Road, Parkville MD 21234.
Memorial contributions may be made in the name of Amos Shriver to MOH Cares Foundation, LLC (Maryland Oncology Hematology: https://marylandoncology.com/moh-cares-foundation/). Amos would be honored to know that others could be helped in some small way by your donation.
The family appreciates the love, prayers and support extended to them during this difficult time. Amos will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
