Anna Maria A. Turner (Guarini)

On November 23, 2021, Anna Maria A. Turner (nee Guarini) passed away; beloved wife of the late Kenneth E. Turner; devoted mother of Paula Kujawa and her husband Jim, Ranae Fisher and her husband Tom, Patricia Fabiszak and her husband Mike; cherished grandmother of Bradley Kujawa, Rebecca Fisher, Jessica Fisher, Sarah Fisher, Lauren Fabiszak, Matthew Fabiszak, Brandon Kujawa and his wife Sierra; dear great grandmother of Gianna Kujawa; loving sister of Lizetta and Costa Di Bitondo, Lilly Cinà and the late Pino Cinà, Rosy Schembari and the late Gianni Schembari, Rita Guarini, the late Mario Guarini and his wife Angela.

Anna’s joy for life and indomitable spirit gave her strength as she courageously battled cancer. She was encircled by family and surrounded in love as the Lord guided her to heaven for eternal rest. She was 81 years old. Her legacy is in the life she devoted to her precious family, creating lasting memories and enriching their lives in the most beautiful ways, steeped in tradition, and grounded in unconditional love.

Anna was born in Brindisi, Italy, the daughter of the late Maria Flora and Emanuele Guarini. She met her beloved husband, the late Ken Turner, when he was stationed in Brindisi, serving in the United States Air Force. The two were married in Italy and settled in the United States to raise their family. Anna also spent several years working in interior design, where she sewed custom-made draperies and created handcrafted furnishings, including décor for the Maryland Showcase of Homes and the Governor’s Mansion in Maryland.

Her devotion to her husband, siblings, children, grandchildren, great grandchild, and extended cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends is a lasting gift to be honored and embraced in our hearts forever.

The family will receive friends at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road, Kingsville, MD on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 2-4pm (the family requests that face masks be worn to enter the building and throughout the visitation). A memorial service will follow promptly at 4:30pm. Interment information will be provided by the funeral home during the service.

All family and friends are welcome to attend a future celebration of life in remembrance of Anna, tentatively scheduled for September 17, 2022, with further details to follow.
