Barbara Ann Phillips (née Citro) passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Beloved wife of Earl “Lee” Phillips for over 60 years, Barbara was a devoted and loving mother to Chris Phillips and his wife Kathy, Joe Phillips and his wife Wendy, Michele Carlson and her husband Steve, and the late Ricky Phillips. She was a cherished grandmother to Ben and his wife Emilie, Andrew and his wife Lauren, Zachary and his wife Kristine, Collin, Morgan, Julia, Tony and his wife Danielle, and Shannon. A proud great-grandmother to five great-grandchildren. A loving sister to Jerry Citro and his late wife Linda, Ray Citro and his wife Linda, and Mark Citro. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Raphael Citro and Marie Citro (née Griffin), as well as her sister Josephine McCollister and her husband Bill.
A woman of deep faith, Barbara was a devout Catholic whose life reflected kindness, compassion, and service to others. She dedicated over a decade of her time as a volunteer coordinator at Good Samaritan Hospital, where she touched many lives with her warmth and generosity.
Barbara found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved cooking for her family, tending to her garden, and taking part in square dancing. Above all, she treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—whether attending their activities, celebrating holidays, or gathering together as a family. Her home was always a place of comfort, laughter, and love.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Barbara’s life at E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road, where a visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5th from 2–4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, May 6th at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 13305 Long Green Pike. Interment will follow the mass at Parkwood Cemetery.
