Betty Jean Cornes (Bauer)

It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Jean Cornes, who passed away peacefully at her home in Hazel Green, Alabama on January 1, 2024.

Betty was born in Baltimore Maryland on August 23, 1932, to Charles O. & Marie Bauer. She was a loving mother to Deborah Fitzer (John) and grandmother to Jeremy, Beth and Alecia Fitzer; as well as a beloved aunt to Tom Baldwin and many other nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Charles O & Marie Bauer; husband John H. Cornes; sister Evelyn Baldwin.

A memorial service will be held at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road (Overlea) on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Shiner's Hospital in Betty’s name if desired.
