Beulah Virginia Grant (Grafton)

Beulah Virginia Grant, of Perry Hall, MD was born February 6, 1928 and was called to her heavenly reward on December 25, 2020. She was born in Hagerstown Maryland to Charles and Minnie Grafton. She grew up in Baltimore, attended Forest Park High School, and married John Hugh Grant in June 1946, shortly after he returned from WW II. They were married for fifty-six years until his death in 2002. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, and numerous cousins.

She is survived by her daughter, Regina Gemignani and her husband, Dr. Hugo Gemignani, and her son, John Hugh Grant and his wife, Mary Regina Grant. She is also survived by her grandchildren – Carl Andrew Rach, Christopher James Rach, and Angelica Faith Grant as well as two great grandsons, Garrett Andrew Rach and Michael Rach.

Bea was devoted to her faith, serving many years as a Sunday School teacher at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Baltimore. After her retirement she continued to worship closer to her home at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Kingsville. She raised her children in her faith and was intensely proud of her daughter, son, and grandchildren. She often reflected on the friendships she had made during her career at Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Towson. She enjoyed knitting, all kinds of music, and was able to play the piano even though she never took a lesson. Bea loved to meet people, and always had a smile and a kind word for everyone she encountered. She enjoyed talking about her time spent at the family farm in Hickory, Md. Once she was no longer able to live alone, she moved to New Bern, NC to be near her daughter. She was a loving and generous soul, and will be sorely missed by her family and by all who knew her.

Interment is private. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children of Fallen Policer Officers, Inc. it is a 501c3 charity www.policeofficersfoundation.org
