Carl Alvin Michel Sr.

On April 8, 2023 Carl Alvin Michel, Sr., peacefully passed. He was the beloved husband for 56 years to Beverly F. (nee Dodd) Michel; devoted father of Carl Michel, Jr., and his wife Connie, Kimberly Michel-Clark and her husband Phil; loving grandfather of Kiersten Michel and her fiancé Andrew O’Brien, Tiffany Michel and Lauren Michel; dear brother of Gloria Taylor and her husband Berkley, Fred Michel and his late wife Carol, and the late Edwin Michel, Sr. and his wife Carole; he is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

He was the third generation to own and operate Michel’s Greenhouses (1901-1991) in Overlea / Fullerton and the proprietor of BCK Enterprises T/A Little Lancaster Amish Furniture in Perry Hall. Both businesses were vital parts of their community. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of Maryland for 50 Years enjoying time in Baltimore Lodge No. 210, Howard Lodge No. 101 and Perry Hall Lodge No. 235. He was a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Scottish Rite, Valley of Baltimore and Boumi Shriners where he was a member of the Directors Staff for many years. He was a member of the Jaycees and the Maryland Flower Growers Association. He also serves as an Advisor for Overlea Chapter in Maryland DeMolay, a youth leadership organization for young men.
