She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Carol loved Earl. She loved her family and enjoyed dancing. She often talked about the local barn dances she attended in her teenage years. In her teen years, she was a student at The Peabody School for The Arts in Baltimore where she studied piano. In 1965, with her background at Peabody, and with her own children in elementary school, Carol approached the late George Hohl, the school principal at Chapel Hill Elementary School, who was also a HS Alumni of hers, with the idea she had of putting together a “Talent Show”, to allow the children of that school to perform in. She felt that a program of such was needed and was a way to help children of that age group to overcome barriers of shyness, with self-esteem, and self-expression. And with George’s approval, the show was started. The show was such a great success that year. Mr. Hohl asked her to do this for the next two years. She enjoyed working with children in a way that she could. Carol retired in 1995 as a clerk at Blue Cross & Blue Shield. The years that followed, Carol was a caregiver to both her elder stepmother, Edna, and her father until his passing in 1999. She was a caregiver and comfort to several close friends in need. The sound of a piano brings back many good memories of the years past. Carol was an amazing loving mother and friend to many. She will be greatly missed.
You are an angel in heaven now. Until we meet again.
REST IN PEACE MOM
