Cesar M. Gamier Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Cesar M. Gamier, Sr. on Monday, January 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Cesar's life was a testament to love, devotion, and cherished moments that will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Cesar was the dedicated father of Cesar M. Gamier, Jr. and his beautiful wife Kristina Ortiz, Elizabeth A. Gamier and her partner Marc Torres, and Marissa L. Modha and her husband Bhavin. He was a pillar of strength and a source of unwavering support to his children, guiding them through life's ups and downs with wisdom and love.

Cesar was the cherished grandfather of Layla and Ishan Modha, with the promise of another precious grandchild on the way. His love for his grandchildren was boundless, and he relished every moment spent with them.

He was also a dear brother to Alfredo Gamier and remembered fondly the late Melanio Gamier, Salvadore “Ding” Gamier, and Alice Gamier. Family was at the core of Cesar's life, and the bonds he shared with his siblings were unbreakable.

Cesar found strength and support in his former wife, Terry (nee Pyle) Gamier, and the enduring friendship they shared. He also cherished his relationships with his in-laws, Cynthia Browder and her partner June, Wendy Acevedo and her husband Jorge, Sid Pyle, and remembered the late Janice Davidson and James Pyle with warmth and affection. His extended family brought immense joy to his life.

In addition to his immediate family, Cesar leaves behind numerous loving nieces and nephews whose lives he touched with his kindness and generosity.

The family invites you to pay your respects at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., located at 7401 Belair Road in Overlea on Sunday, February 4, 2025, from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. Funeral services will commence at 3:00pm. Interment will be a private.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org), an organization close to Cesar's heart, dedicated to the well-being of children in need.

Cesar M. Gamier, Sr. leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will forever live on in our hearts.
