Cheryle May Marshall

Cheryle May Marshall, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025. She was the devoted wife of Robert Marshall. Loving mother of Laura Marshall, Brian Marshall and wife Karen Marshall, Greg Hay and wife Diane Hay, Guy Hay and wife Tina Hay, and Stuart Hay and wife Cristina Hay. Cherished grandmother of Blaine Marshall and wife Lauren Marshall, Tayler Marshall, Nils Hay and wife Aubrey Hay, Lars Hay and wife Felicia Hay, Ingrid Hay, Madison Hay, Ethan Hay, Christian Gonzales and wife Grace Gonzales, and Payton Hay. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Lucy Mae Gonzales, Jackson Gonzales, Aker Marshall, and Zander Marshall.

Cheryle was known to all as a second mother — not just to her own family, but to anyone who walked through her door. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and endless meals prepared with love. Many of the children who grew up around her never even knew her first name; to them, she was simply “Mom.” Her kindness, generosity, and nurturing spirit touched countless lives, leaving behind a legacy of love and hospitality that will never be forgotten.

The family will receive friends at Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road in Overlea, on Sunday, November 2nd from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. A funeral service celebrating the life of Cheryle Marshall will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 3rd at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Parkwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in the honor of Cheryle Marshall to the ASPCA (www.aspca.org) and American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org)
