Cindy Lee Levering passed away on 7 October 2026, after a long battle with ovarian cancer.

Cindy loved gardening and was known as a caring & generous neighbor. She worked for many years in various positions with State Use Industries (later Maryland Correctional Enterprises). She was active in the Community of St. Dysmas.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Diana, her sisters Dina Conte and Denielle Leber and her brothers John DiRossi and Maurice & Carl Hamilton. She is survived by her husband of 27 years Daniel Carey Freeman of Delaware, daughters Nicole White and Angela Smith, her sister Tammy Gilpin and brother Michael Hamilton, as well as grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road, Nottingham, MD 21236. A funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home beginning at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Parkwood Cemetery.
