Corinthia Y Elkins (Wood)

On December 19, 2020, Corinthia Y., (nee Wood) Elkins, beloved mother of Jobette Elkins and the late Neil Elkins; dear mother-in-law of Linda Elkins; sister of the late James R. Wood and Doris “Dottie” Owens.

Corinthia was a member of the Cedarhurst Unitarian Church since the early 90’s. She initiated and led several fundraising programs, from the Script grocery program to the plant sale at the annual flea market. She enjoyed Cinima Sundays at the Charles Theater and the lively discussions. She cherished the friends she met there. Corinthia appreciated the arts, dining, music, blues festivals and museums. She loved to travel and looked forward to her trips to visit her daughter, Jobette. Corinthia made friends everywhere she went and was particularly known for her kindness. Corinthia retired from the Federal Government after joining right out of high school. After retiring, she owned and operated Elkins Personnel Services in Westminster, MD for 5 years.
