On Friday, October 3, 2025, Daniel Kristoffer Martin Gerhardt passed away.
Born in Baltimore, Danny was the beloved son of Kristoffer Gerard Gerhardt and the late Jacqueline Lynn (nee Fries) Gerhardt, and the dear brother of Kateri Rachel Aster. He is also lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends who will cherish his memory always.
Danny had a deep love for the outdoors and a spirit of adventure that guided his life. He found peace and joy in nature—whether riding his motorcycle, camping beneath the stars, hiking through the woods, or casting a line while fishing. A gifted and creative artist, Danny saw beauty in the world around him and expressed it through his art and music. He was amazing on the guitar, and his family will always remember the comfort and joy of hearing him play.
Danny was incredibly intelligent and could explain things with thoughtful depth, often helping others—especially his sister, with her schoolwork growing up. He was hardworking and determined, earning his degree while working full-time, and his strength and perseverance inspired those around him. Known for his quick wit and unforgettable sense of humor, he could make anyone laugh and brighten even the heaviest moments. To his sister, Danny’s steady presence was a source of safety and emotional stability, especially as she grew into adulthood.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road in Kingsville on Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to celebrate Danny’s life, share memories, and support one another.
A Mass honoring Danny’s life will be held at St. Stephen’s Church on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately.
Danny will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love for family and friends, and the warmth he brought to every life he touched.
