On May 7, 2022, Diane, (nee Orbino) Waicker, beloved wife of Gary W. Waicker; devoted mother of Stacey Schantz and her husband Troy, Jessica Spray-Fry and her husband Tom, Elizabeth Edison and her husband Mike, Alex Waicker and his wife Alise; loving grandmother of Owen & Hunter Schantz, Ben & Luke Spray-Fry, Emmy & Maren Edison, Leo Tosti & Audrey Waicker.

To know Diane was to love her. She was a compassionate and devoted mother, “Granny”, wife and friend. She was a woman of faith, who took pride in her children and grandchildren. She was a phenomenal cook and gracious hostess. Diane was always willing to help whether it was volunteering in classrooms and school functions or later in life at Augsburg. She will be missed by the many lives she touched throughout her lifetime. She will be remembered for her beauty, kindness and strength. Her loved ones are comforted in knowing she is finally at peace and breathing freely.

Visiting at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road in Kingsville on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 3-6 PM. Funeral services will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sweet Air, 3911 Sweet Air Road Phoenix, MD 21131 on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM. Interment Highview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Augsburg Lutheran Home, Benevolent Care Fund, 6825 Campfield Rd., Baltimore, MD, 21207.
