Douglas Charles Hentz Sr.

On July 11, 2025, Douglas C. Hentz, Sr. peacefully passed away, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the beloved husband of Nancy Louise (nee Over) Hentz, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. A devoted father, he will be dearly missed by his children: Casey Charboneau and her husband Bryan, Nikki Murphy and her husband Francesco “Frank,” and Douglas C. Hentz, Jr. and his wife Sarah Klein. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Nolan and Celia Murphy, Cole and Audrey Charboneau, and Vera Hentz.

Douglas is also survived by his loving brother, Gary Hentz, as well as his cherished in-laws, Rusty Over and his wife Beth, and Chris Over and his wife Cathy and several loving nieces and nephews.

A service to honor and celebrate Douglas’s life will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Kingsville on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Douglas’s memory to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Parish Hall Fund (www.sp-lc.org).

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and kindness extended to them during this difficult time.
