Edward (Ed) Sugg

On March 29, 2021, Samuel Edward (Ed) Sugg, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven. Beloved son of the late Margaret Lee (nee McLawhorn) Sugg and Robert Lee Sugg, beloved brother of the late Robert Lee Sugg Jr. of Baltimore. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 57 years, Mary Louise (nee Weber) Sugg, son Daniel E. Sugg, daughter Laura A. Zengel, daughter in-law Deborah Callis Sugg, and grandchildren Joseph A. Zengel V, Hunter L. Sugg, Jaden A. Zengel, and Bethany R. Sugg.

Ed was a loving, dedicated husband and father, committed to his family and friends. Born in Hookerton (Greene County), North Carolina, he lived in Maryland for over 70 years. After serving in the Air Force, he attended Baltimore Junior College and obtained a mechanical engineering degree from The Johns Hopkins University. He worked at Henry Adams Consulting Engineers for over 40 years becoming Senior Vice President.

Ed’s smile and sense of humor brought joy to everyone that met him. In retirement, he spent time golfing, traveling with his wife, and with his grandchildren who brought him immense joy. Visitation is Thursday, April 1st, 7-9pm, Friday, April 2nd, 2-4pm and 6-8pm at E.F. Lassahan Funeral Home in Kingsville, MD. Funeral Services will be held at Fallston United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at 10am and burial to follow at Parkwood Cemetery. Many precautions have been taken for proper social distancing and masks are required.
