Elaine D Sain

On September 2, 2025, Elaine D. (nee Davis) Sain peacefully passed away, surrounded by the love of her family.

Elaine was the beloved wife of the late George Sain; devoted and loving mother of Eve Sain and her husband, James Chanoski, Mary Cavallaro and her husband, Dean, and son-in-law Charles Ebeling; cherished grandmother of Justin Hughes and his wife, Paige, Matthew Hughes and his wife, Jamie, and Christopher Ebeling and his fiancée, Nicole Grafer. She was the proud and adoring great-grandmother of Eleanor Hughes, Ryan Hughes, Teagan Hughes, and Shannon Hughes. Elaine was the dear sister of Marie Sain and was also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, George and Eva Davis, and by her daughter Pauline Ebeling.

Elaine will be remembered as a sweet, kindhearted woman with a gentle spirit and a generous heart. Her warmth, quiet strength, and unwavering love for her family brought comfort and joy to all who knew her. She treasured every moment with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life.

Family and friends are invited to gather in her honor for a Mass on Friday September 12th at 10 am at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Elaine will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) to support ongoing research and provide care for children and their families.

The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, support, and kindness during this difficult time. Elaine’s memory will be forever cherished, and her loving presence will be deeply missed.
