Elizabeth Lynn Stintz (Colwell)

Elizabeth Lynn Stintz (Colwell), age 88 of Perry Hall, Maryland passed away at hospice on August 2, 2022.

Born on March 10th, 1934, she was the daughter of Herbert & Mildred Colwell of Parkville, and sister to Joyce Pence (Colwell) and Dianne Murphy (Colwell). Mrs. Stintz was a 1952 graduate of Towson High School. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Towson State Teachers College (Towson University) in 1957, and taught primary education for 30 years at St. Anthony de Padua School in Baltimore. After retiring from teaching, Mrs. Stintz later finished her career as a Pharmacy Technician at Rite Aid Pharmacy.

Married to Francis Carroll Stintz, of Overlea, in 1958. Mrs. Stintz is survived by her sister, Dianne, sons Matthew & Jeffrey, daughter, Ellen Capecci, daughter in-laws Melinda and Laurie Stintz, and grandchildren, Nicholas Capecci and Emily Stintz. Mrs. Stintz also leaves behind several furry feline companions: Nellie, Maci, Thom & Allie.

The family will hold a viewing and visitation from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road, in Overlea, on Friday, August 5, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 1 pm on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Interment Gardens of Faith Cemetery, in Nottingham.

Mrs. Stintz was a dedicated animal advocate, so in lieu of flowers please consider a donation, in Elizabeth’s name, to Fairy Tails Rescue in Maryland.
