Eloise M Johnson (Moore)

June 18, 1944 — December 31, 2012

Eloise M Johnson (Moore)

Eloise Johnson was born June 18, 1944 and departed this life December 31, 2012. She was the daughter of the late James and

Patsy Moore. She had 9 brothers and sisters: Curtis Ray, Pearlie Mae, Glorious Dean, and Donald. Yvonne, Elmer Ray, Bonnie Ray,

Shirley Jean, and James Thomas preceded her in death.

She attended Baltimore City schools. She worked at Western Electric, the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. She also did personal health care. She was a God fearing woman. She was a member of Mount Olive Freewill Baptist Church and then Southern Baptist Church.

Eloise was generous, funny, talkative, and yet a serious woman. She always had a witty solution to solve problems. She would speak the plain truth-not sugar coating anything. She once said “I say what everybody wants to say but is scared to say.” She loved family, bargain shopping (especially for others), cooking, and singing.

She married Randolph Johnson. She had two children, Towanda and Randolph, Jr. Eloise held a special bond with them full of joy and laughter. They truly took care of their mother, before and during her illness. Eloise was an active grandmother with Joshua, Chloe, and Cidnee. She held long conversations, wrestled, and played basketball with them. They were often the center of her conversations. She truly loved them, and they loved her too! Eloise would often get the family together on Sundays and prepare their favorite foods.

Eloise’s unique personality made you proud to call her your mother, sister, aunt, niece, or cousin. When you said “Eloise”, you were going to follow it with a smile or just saying “she is crazy.”

During her short illness, at least one of her children, or a family member was always at her side.

We will keep fondly in mind this CLASSY LADY!

To cherish her memories she leaves: 2 children; 3 grandchildren;

2 brothers; 2 sisters; son-in-law, Eddie Smith; daughter-in-law, Cherelle Johnson; and a host of relatives and friends.
