Ethel Lillian Scheeler

Ethel Lillian Scheeler, age 96, passed away peacefully at her home on July 30, 2026, in Joppa. Maryland.

Ethel was a avid bowler well into her 90’s. She enjoyed all types of activities such as playing cards and games with her family. She loved traveling in her younger years with her husband and friends. Ethel was the secretary in the family school bus business for 30 years. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Bel Air, Maryland for over 50 years.

Daughter of the late John C. Winterstein and Anna Kappel Winterstein and wife of deceased husband Geary B. Scheeler, Sr.; mother of Geary B. Scheeler, Jr. and wife Jeanne, Debra Ann Morgan and husband Glenn; grandmother of Geary Richard Springham, Kelcy Ann Morgan and Brian Matthew Billings.

Viewing will be held at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road (Kingsville) on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1515 Emmorton Road, Bel Air, MD 21014 on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 11 am followed by a graveside service at Bel Air Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.
