Eugene S. Adkins Sr.

On September 11, 2024, Eugene S. Adkins, Sr. passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and family. Eugene was the beloved husband of the late Emma (née Senate) Adkins and a devoted father to Rhonda Erb and her husband Leonard, and Eugene “Gene” Adkins, Jr. and his wife Margaret. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Katie Pappas and her husband Andrew, Lisaray Adkins, Meghan Adkins, Eugene Adkins III, Meaghan Erb, Amber Erb, Connor Erb, and Kellie Corcoran. He was also cherished as a great-grandfather by Andy Pappas, Alexander Pappas, Christopher Maden, Lucas Maden, and Jackson Atkins.

The family will receive friends at the Johnson Tiller Funeral Home, located at 10030 Route 152 in Wayne, West Virginia, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral service to celebrate Eugene’s life will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 10:00am.

Eugene will be laid to rest at the Everett Adkins Cemetery in East Lynn, West Virginia, where his spirit will find peace among the rolling hills he called home. His warmth, generosity, and devotion to family will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
