Frances Colleen Maher (nee Ford), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026.

Frances was the beloved wife of the late Albert Maher. She was the loving daughter of the late Charles Ford and the late Frances (nee Kirbey) Ford.

She was a devoted mother to Sharon Liske and her husband Larry, and Albert Maher Jr. and his wife Jennifer. She was the cherished grandmother of Steven Liske.

Frances was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Joan Laflame (nee Ford). She is survived by her brother, William Ford, and her sister, Mary Cierkowski (nee Ford), as well as many loving family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Frances was a woman of faith and fellowship. She was a member of the Christian Women’s Club and enjoyed attending Bible studies. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially playing bingo, watching her favorite soap operas and Survivor, and spending time in Ocean City. Her warm spirit, caring heart, and love for her family will remain cherished memories for all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Friday, October 9, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday, October 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road, Kingsville, MD 21087. A funeral service will be held at E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A. on Saturday, October 10, at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
