Francis Edward Thrift, Sr.

On August 7, 2025, Francis E. Thrift, Sr. passed away at the age of 104; beloved husband of the late Madeline C. Thrift (nee Willheim); devoted father of Nancy Barnes and her late husband Duane, Mary Guraleczka and her husband Walt, Edward Thrift and his wife Leslie; loving grandfather of Michael Barnes and his wife Kimberlee and Daniel Barnes and his wife Elaine; great-grandfather of Lucas, Madeline, Caroline and Mina Barnes; step-grandfather of Michael and Mindy Guraleczka; step-great-grandfather of Darien, Jamie, Marlee, Ariyah, Cassius, Haylee and Naylani; brother of the late Donald, Audrey and Cornell Thrift.

Visiting at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road (Overlea) on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 11 am. Interment St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.
