Frank Edward "Weatherman" Fescina, 71, passed away on December 1, 2025, in Rosedale, Maryland. Born on December 22, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland, Frank lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and quiet generosity.

Frank began his remarkable career with PolySeal Corp in 1973. Over the decades, he remained with the company through its transitions to Berry Plastics and eventually Amcor. His unwavering commitment spanned an extraordinary 52 years, making him the longest-tenured employee at the time of his passing. Throughout his tenure, Frank held numerous positions and became a familiar and respected presence within the organization.

A man of many passions, Frank had a lifelong fascination with weather. Known affectionately as "Weatherman," he maintained five different weather stations and took great joy in tracking atmospheric changes. His love for meteorology was more than a hobby—it was a defining part of who he was.

Frank also enjoyed NASCAR, occasionally attending live events, and NFL football. After years of cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, he eventually shifted his allegiance to the Baltimore Ravens—a change that reflected both his roots and evolving loyalties. In quieter moments, he found entertainment in computer video games and delighted in hitting the jackpot during gameplay.

He was raised and lived his life as a Roman Catholic, grounding himself in faith throughout his journey.

Frank's easygoing nature and generous spirit left lasting impressions on those around him. He was known for mowing neighbors' lawns without being asked and brightening Valentine's Day by bringing roses to his female coworkers. These small acts of kindness spoke volumes about his character—thoughtful gestures that made everyday life better for others.

Among his cherished memories was a Thanksgiving visit to his sister's home in Pueblo West, Colorado. The snowfall during that trip captivated him as much as their excursion to the Royal Gorge Bridge in Cañon City—the highest suspension bridge in the United States—which left him awestruck.
He also fondly remembered going to San Diego with his sister and brother in law, and swimming with the Dolphins at SeaWorld.

Frank was preceded in death by his father Carl Edward Fescina (1983), and his mother Katherine Anne Fescina (nee Henning), who passed away in 2001.

Frank is lovingly remembered by his sister Deirdre Fescina Carleton of Pueblo West, Colorado; daughter Heidi Maria Sumrall and son Phillip Edward Frank Fescina of Evansville, Indiana; and grandchildren Jameson Neal and Addison Christine Sumrall of Evansville, Indiana.

Frank's legacy is one of steadfast loyalty—to family, work, community—and quiet acts of compassion that touched many lives. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire kindness in others. A Celebration of Life memorial will be scheduled later in the year.
