Frederick D. Presley

On June 17, 2025, Frederick Daniel Presley passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love and presence of his devoted family.

Frederick was the beloved husband of the late Nancy Delores (nee Deringer) Presley; the cherished and loving father of Michele Chay Presley and her husband Keith Wiley, Andi Ricche and her husband Philip, and Gabrele Streeter and her partner Andrew Scott Munczenski; and the proud grandfather of Maeve Newton.

He is lovingly remembered by his brother, Jack Presley and his wife Sandy; his sister, Peggy Brodeur; and his sister-in-law, Bobbi Smith. Frederick also leaves behind his adoring nieces and nephews—Wendy, Erica, Christopher, Kate, Marla, Charles—and lovingly holds in memory his late niece, Lani. He is also survived by many dear cousins and lifelong friends.

Frederick was a kind, intelligent, and deeply compassionate man. He was a gifted storyteller—able to turn the simplest moments into cherished tales—and remained patient and lighthearted, even throughout his illness. He embraced life with a spirit of adventure, traveling to 49 states with his beloved wife in their retirement home on wheels-the RV, hiking, rock climbing, and exploring cultures across the globe. He also cherished moments of playfulness and lighthearted fun, bringing joy and laughter to those around him.

A proud scholar and lifelong learner, Frederick was an avid reader of history, a passionate debater, actor and a writer who even authored his own book. His career took him to many corners of the world, including a memorable time living in England with his family, and advising on maritime law in developing nations through his work with the United Nations.

Frederick’s life was marked by unconditional kindness, a genuine love for humanity, and a warm presence that touched all who had the joy of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

The Presley family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, support, and kindness shown to them during this difficult time. Your thoughtfulness and compassion have brought great comfort.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Liberatore's Ristorante in Perry Hall on Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Please dress joyfully. Interment will be private.
