Genevieve Louise Welsh

Genevieve Louise (nee Pupa) Welsh passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Lee Welsh and the loving partner of the late Richard LaCourse. Genevieve was a devoted mother to Kenneth Welsh II and his wife Suzanne, and to Kevin Welsh and his wife Irina; and a cherished grandmother to Iris Glabuchek, Kaiden Welsh, Nathan Welsh, Logan Welsh, Gavin Welsh, Katerina Glabuchek, and Penelope Welsh. She is survived by her brother Carroll Walter Pupa and her sister Cathy Watts. She is preceded in death by her brother Walter Carroll Pupa.

Genevieve, Jen to many (Jenny Lou to a few) loved her family and a celebration. She spent countless hours shuffling her boys across the state to various sporting events and cheering them to victory. Later, she traveled up and down the east coast enjoying time with her grandchildren. She loved to host and attend family gatherings on holidays, birthdays, and game nights (Ravens or the O's), or for no reason at all. Jen worked at the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) for over 20 years where she made life-long friendships. Though she will be dearly missed, the joy and happiness she brought to the people around her will live on.

The family will receive friends at E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road in Kingsville, on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at which time funeral services will begin. She will be laid to rest in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

The family is deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and support shown to them during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association
