George Milton Klein

On February 10, 2025, George Milton Klein passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, and dedication to his family, friends, and community. He was the beloved husband of Marie Elizabeth (nee LoPresti) Klein and the late Christine Clark Klein. A devoted and loving stepfather, he is survived by Dean Weil and his wife Robin, Jennifer Krout, and Mark Weil and his wife Debbie. He was also a cherished step grandfather and great-grandfather.

George is also survived by his nieces, Emily Massey and Harriett Zoller , and his nephews, John Massey and Steven Taylor, as well as his extended family, the Kucherer family, several cousins, and many dear friends.

A proud veteran, George honorably served his country in World War II aboard the naval carrier USS Rendova. By trade, he was an electrician, but his passion extended into his prolific model-making, where he found joy in crafting trains, airplanes, and ships. His dedication to history and craftsmanship was evident in his 29 years of distinguished volunteer service at the B&O Railroad Museum. His imaginative displays continue to be exhibited, standing as a testament to his creativity and passion.

George’s generosity knew no bounds. He was a dedicated supporter of his church and various organizations that he held dear, always willing to extend a helping hand to those in need. His kindness and unwavering commitment to service will be forever remembered by those whose lives he touched.

The family will receive friends at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., located at 7401 Belair Road, on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, February 17, 2025 at 12:00pm. Interment will be private.

George’s upbeat approach to life and his warm, welcoming smile will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
