George William Mccarter Sr.

On December 13, 2023 George W. McCarter, Sr. passed away. He is the beloved husband of the late Thelma V. McCarter and the devoted father of George W. McCarter, Jr. and his wife Joyce and Michael B. McCarter and his wife Debbie. He is survived by his four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers, and one sister.

He worked for Bethlehem Steel for 47 years and is a U.S. Naval Veteran who served on the USS Missouri at the end of WW II. He is well known for his love of woodworking and politics. He served in several Campaigns including the election of John F. Kennedy.

The family will receive friends at the E. F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road in Kingsville on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm & 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 11:00am . Interment Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
