Gladys Marie Downs (Kempske)

On July 27, 2023, Gladys Marie (nee Kempske) Downs passed away. She was the beloved wife of the late John “Bud” Downs; devoted mother of the late John “Bill” Downs and his wife Karen; loving grandmother of James Downs, Amy Rochette, Katie Driver and Carrie Newsom; cherished great-grandmother of Shelby Driver, Deven Downs, Lincoln Driver, Daisy Newson and Jake Newson; dear sister of the late William Kempske, Mildred Chenoweth, Evelyn Jeager, Herman Kempske, Harold Kempske, John Kempske, Morris Kempske, Arthur Kempske and Doris Downs; she is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc. 7401 Belair Road in Overlea on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in Moreland Memorial Park Cemetery.
