Henry John Berg Jr.

It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Henry John Berg, Jr. on January 26, 2025. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Henry lived a life marked by love, devotion, and unwavering faith.

Henry was the cherished husband of Joan (née Hess) Berg, with whom he shared 51 beautiful years of marriage. He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy J. Berg, in 1969. As a devoted father, he leaves behind a legacy of love and guidance through his children: Dorothy A. Sanchez, Henry J. "Chip" Berg III and his wife Genevieve, Thomas A. Berg, Katrina L. "Katie" Berg, Sarah J. Berg, and the late Cheryl L. Wacker. His heart extended further to his 12 loving grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his life.

Henry is also predeceased by his parents, Henry J. and Margaret (née Rummel) Berg Sr., and his sister, Evelyn Glock. He is survived by several dear nieces and nephews, who will remember him with great affection.

The family will receive friends at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., located at 7401 Belair Road in Overlea, on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A celebration of Henry's life and faith will take place at Epiphany Lutheran Church, located at 4301 Raspe Avenue, on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Following the service, Henry will be laid to rest at Parkwood Cemetery.
