Herman Dietsch Jr.
Herman Dietsch, Jr., 86, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at his home in Baltimore, Maryland. Herman was born January 13, 1927 to Herman and Margaret Dietsch in Baltimore. He was an optician for fifty-six years at Clark-Appler in Towson. He served in the US Army in World War II in the Pacific.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lorraine, (née Gutowski); daughter, Sharon Hood and her husband Tom; daughter Susan Gelnar and her husband JR; grandchildren, Thomas, Andrew, William Hood; Wesley (Ashley) and Jacob Gelnar; brother Edward Dietsch and sister Catherine Ermer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc. 7401 Belair Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21236 on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends Sunday, September 1, 2013 and Monday, September 2, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Interment Parkwood Cemetery.
