Homer Eigenbrode Martin

Homer E Martin, age 90, passed away on March 5, 2013. Homer was born on December 5, 1922 in Emmitsburg, Maryland to Nevin and Phoebe Martin. He is survived by his wife, Eileen, his daughters Brenda Warehime and Cynthia Alt and her husband Doug, grandchildren Daniel Alt, Carey Robertson and her husband Mike, Rachel and Ryan Warehime, great-granddaughter Kaylee Robertson and a sister, Esther DiGiacinto. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean (Lehman) who died in 1988, brothers Everett, George, Roland, Donald and Sterling and sisters Naomi and Helen.

Homer served in the Navy and was stationed in Jacksonville, Florida. He worked for Martin Marietta and later for the US Postal Service as a letter carrier.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 8 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm at Lassahn Funeral Home, 7401 Belair Rd, Baltimore, Maryland. Funeral services will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 8212 Philadelphia Road, Baltimore MD on Saturday, March 9 at 11am with viewing prior to service (10am – 11am). Interment immediately following at Gardens of Faith. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 8212 Philadelphia Road, Baltimore, Maryland 21237.
