Irma Jacqueline Black (Prato)

On July 10, 2012, Irma J. Black (nee Prato), beloved wife of the late Walter L. Black; devoted mother of Kathy Schnorr and her husband, Curt, and the late Ronald L. Black; dear grandmother of Karlye Cowherd and her husband, Sean, and Jeff Schnorr and his wife Brooke; sister of Josephine Cornish (of Uniontown, PA). Irma was known to many as a phenomenal artist, master story teller and she lived her life to the fullest. Irma was the cartoonist for the Oak Crest Village Voice and continued to paint and draw until her death.


A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church (Kingsville) on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 11:00 am. Interment St. John’s Episcopal Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church.
