James A. Frank Sr.

James Arthur Frank Sr. of Baldwin, MD, passed away on January 12, 2023, at age 91. Born in Baynesville, MD, James was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

James is the son of the late Theodor Frank and Carrie Shanklin Frank; brother of the late Carolyn, Theodor, Gilbert, Jack, Betty, and Joyce; loving husband of the late Frances Barbara Bosley Frank; and father of the late Frances.

James is survived by his son, James Jr. and daughter, Nancy. He was the proud grandfather of Timothy, Elizabeth, Hannah, Caroline, and James.

James worked as an architect and home builder, founding a company that he ran with his son, James Jr., until he retired. James was the cornerstone of his family and would voluntarily do anything for his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was truly a selfless and humble family man that put everyone’s needs before his own.

After his retirement and the passing of his wife, Barbara, in 2002, James enjoyed playing in a competitive pool league with his son, as well as playing Pinochle, Poker, and other card games with his friends on a daily basis.

Relatives and friends are invited to James’ Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A. 11750 Belair Road in Kingsville, from 5:30 – 8:30 PM.
