Jeanette C. Kelly (Slater)

On Thursday, December 3, 2020 Jeanette went home to be with the Lord.

She was born in Essex, Maryland on October 18, 1921 to August and Sarah Slater. She was the youngest of six; predeceased by August Slater, George Slater, Mary Green, Louise Killinger and Elizabeth Sperl.

Jeanette married William F. Kelly (deceased) on November 2, 1940. She was the beloved and devoted mother to William R. Kelly (deceased) and wife Evelyn Blakely; Danny Kelly and wife Donna; Janet Pryor-DeManns and husband Jules; and Susan Jenkins and husband Sam. She was known as mom mom to her seven grandchildren and she was known as GG to her great and great-great grandchildren.

Jeanette loved the Lord and was a beacon of light to all that new her. She had a witty sense of humor and made us all smile.

There will be a "Celebration of Life" for Jeanette at Perry Hall Baptist Church 3919 Schroeder Avenue Perry Hall, MD 21128 on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 11 a.m., officiated by Pastor Dave Moyer. Also, please feel free to join the family, between 10-11 AM in the Coffee Connection Room for refreshments.

The burial and graveside service will immediately follow the “Celebration of Life” at Mountain Christian Church Cemetery, 1824 Mountain Road, Joppa, MD 21085. All are welcome to attend.
