Jeanette Frances Norwood, formerly Ebner, née McMahon of Kingsville died May 27, 2026. She was 86. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence McMahon and Esther McMahon Ginsberg, née Yeager.
Jeanette attended Sacred Heart of Jesus parochial grade school and graduated from Seton High School.
She worked for the Sears, Roebuck and Co. Credit Dept. for many years and as a receptionist for Coldwell Banker Realty in Harford County.
Mrs. Norwood was a very good cook and baker. She enjoyed hosting barbecues and parties, spending time with her family, especially celebrating milestones and holidays and eating out, particularly if the menu included a tasty Maryland crab cake or a table set with hot steamed crabs and a pitcher of beer.
Jeanette is survived by her son, Dr. Charles B. Ebner and his wife, Kathleen from Forest Hill, her grandchildren, Ryan Ebner (Emily); Matthew Ebner (Taylor) and Jillian Logan (Brendan) all from Bel Air. Great-grandchildren, Hannah, Rowyn, Nolan and Grayson Ebner and Leila Logan. Devoted niece Brenda Kelly-Scholl (Will), Step-brother, Howard Ginsburg, Step-daughter, Terri Norwood, Step daughter-in-law, Audrey Norwood and other loving family members and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her dear son, Kevin Wayne Ebner, her husband, John C. Norwood Sr., her sister, Joan Kelly, brother-in-law, William Kelly, step-children, John Jr and Debbie Norwood and Sherry Norwood Ryan.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 10am at St. Margaret Catholic Church, 141 N. Hickory Ave., Bel Air, MD, 21014. A celebration-of-life luncheon will follow, venue TBD.
