Joan M. Woodward (Moody)

On December 18, 2021, Joan Woodward (nee Moody), beloved wife of the late Jack Woodward for 57 years; devoted mother of Jessica Theodoropoulos and husband Tim and Jared Woodward; loving Nana of Jack & Ava Theodoropoulos; dear aunt of Jeffery Holdren. Joan is predeceased by her parents Dorothy and Earl Moody and sister Nancy Young.

Joan was a physical education teacher at Glenmar Elementary School, a stay-at-home mother, and then after obtaining her master’s degree, she was the guidance counselor at Kingsville Elementary School until she retired.

The family will receive friends for both Joan & Jack on Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 12-2pm & 4-6 pm at Long Green Gardens, 4506 Long Green Road, Glen Arm, MD 21057. Services & Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joan’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
