Joanne Theresa Della Rose

October 12, 2026

On October 12, 2026, Joanne Theresa Della Rose passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of unconditional love, cherished family traditions, and countless precious memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Joanne was the loving and devoted mother of Stephanie (nee Kopp) Peterson and her husband Glen, David Kopp and his wife Maria, and Lisa (nee Kopp) Monath and her husband John; the proud and cherished grandmother of Victoria Peterson, Andrew Peterson, Alexa Paul and her husband Justin, James Kopp, Anthony Kopp, and Jarrod Monath; and the adoring great-grandmother of Seraphina Paul. She was the dear sister of Carmanlita "Lee" Della Rose, Barbara Smith, and Anthony P. Della Rose, Jr. Joanne was predeceased by her loving parents, Anthony Paul Della Rose, Sr. and Concetta Santina (nee DiBartolomeo) Della Rose; her brother-in-law, Louis; and her sister-in-law, Jenny. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Joanne retired after nearly 27 years of loyal and dedicated service to the State of Maryland as office supervisor for the Harford County Health Department. She enjoyed helping others through her work and she cherished the friendships she made during her career.

Joanne loved reading and was an exceptional cook. Over the years, she enjoyed many memorable family vacations. She also had a deep appreciation for movies and television, from timeless classics to modern favorites, and took great pleasure in their stories and characters.

Above all else, Joanne's greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her family. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter was immeasurable, and her devotion to their happiness and well-being was unwavering. She was a loving, proud, and caring mother and grandmother whose heart was always open and whose greatest happiness came from the moments they shared together. Whether celebrating life's milestones, gathering for holidays, or simply enjoying time in one another's company, Joanne treasured every opportunity to be surrounded by those she loved. Her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and the love of her family were truly the center of her world, and the love she gave so freely will remain one of her most beautiful and enduring gifts.

Joanne will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all whose lives were touched by her love. Her family will carry her memory in their hearts, finding comfort in knowing that the love she gave so generously will continue to bring them together for generations to come.

The family extends their heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of love, prayers, kindness, and support shown to them during this difficult time. Your thoughtfulness and compassion are deeply appreciated and will always be remembered.

Family and friends are warmly invited to gather at the E. F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road, Kingsville, Maryland 21087, on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at which time a prayer service will begin at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be held privately.
