Johanna Louise Sain (Wirsing)

On July 17, 2025, Johanna Louise (nee Wirsing) Sain peacefully passed away, surrounded by the love of her children and brother. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Calvin Sain, Sr.; devoted and loving mother of Joseph Calvin Sain, Jr., Anna Wilfer and her late husband James, and the late Joanne Sain; cherished grandmother of Courtney Wilfer. She was the dear sister of Bernie Wirsing, the late Frances Neely and her husband Alvin, and the late Mary Ellis and her husband Ernest. Johanna is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Johanna was a sweet and kindhearted woman, known for her gentle spirit and generous heart. She found joy in cooking, a skill lovingly passed down from her mother, and her family will forever treasure the memories of the meals and moments shared around her table. Her warmth and quiet strength were a comfort to those who knew her, and her love for her family was unwavering.

Family and friends may gather to honor Johanna at Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road in Overlea, on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 10:00am. Johanna will be laid to rest beside her loved ones at St. Joseph Church Cemetery.
