John E. Bresnan

On February 5, 2026, John E. Bresnan passed away; he is survived by his wife and partner, Denise Boznango-Bresnan and their two devoted rescue dogs, Jessa and Dylan; he is predeceased by his parents John D. and Jeanne Shipley Bresnan and his grandmother, Gladys Shipley. He attended Archbishop Curley High School, continued his education at Hofstra University where he received his Bachelor’s degree and received his Master’s degree at Towson University. He taught Social Studies for 31 years in Baltimore County Public Schools, his favorite subject was archelogy; He played high school and college football and lacrosse and coached football, lacrosse and soccer. He moved to the eastern shore of Delaware after retirement, where he had a small home improvement business and was also a condo inspector in the summer. John enjoyed playing basketball, tennis and running. He was an avid reader, boater and exerciser. He enjoyed long beach walks and was the proud owner of six wonderful rescue dogs.
