On February 3, 2024, our hearts were heavy as we said our final goodbye to a beloved husband, father, son, and brother, John "Tim" Williams.
Tim was the devoted husband of Christine M. (nee James) Williams for 33 beautiful years, a loving father to his daughter Kacie Williams, and the cherished son of the late Marren and Clara (nee Rucker) Williams. He shared a special bond with his sister Corrinne Williams and was preceded in death by his dear sister, Joyce Jones. Tim leaves behind several nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
A proud Navy veteran, Tim served his country with honor during the Vietnam War. His deep sense of patriotism and gratitude for his safe return home never wavered, making him a true American hero.
Beyond his military service, Tim was an avid history buff, possessing a curiosity for the world's past. His passion for history was infectious, and he enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others.
In his quieter moments, Tim found solace in raising and caring for his beloved turtles, creating a sanctuary for these remarkable creatures. His gentle nature extended to all living beings, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Today, as we remember Tim, we are reminded of the joy he brought into our lives, the wisdom he imparted, and the love he shared with each and every one of us. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the honor of crossing his path.
A Celebration of Tim's life will be held at a later date and his interment will be private.
For those who wish to honor Tim's memory, memorial contributions may be made to a charity that held a special place in his heart, The Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org). Your support will carry on Tim's legacy of caring for those who served our nation.
