On May 2, 2026, Jorge Luis Avellaneda, 55, unexpectedly passed away at his home.
Jorge was born on March 25, 1971, to his parents, Romuell and Aidee (Gladys), in Lima, Peru. As an adult, he became a citizen of the United States of America and continued to build his life and his family. He had a deep passion for fútbol and loved travelling the world. Jorge enjoyed being surrounded by his family and spending time outside.
Jorge’s loss is grieved deeply by his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Romuel and Aidee (Gladys); his sister, Rosa; his wife, Angela; his 3 sons, Adrian, Nico, and Alejandro; his 2 daughters, Rosibelle and Angel; his step-daughter, Carrie; his step-son, Todd; his 3 grandsons, Jose, Dilan, and Everett; his niece, Rosalinda; and his great niece, Romina.
Jorge’s family will be holding a viewing at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., 7401 Belair Road, Nottingham, Maryland 21236. The viewing will be on Wednesday, May 6th, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 10 Willow Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21206, on Thursday, May 7th at 11:00am.
