Laura M. Leight (Coomer)

Laura M. Leight, formerly known as Laura M. (nee Coomer), passed away on January 16, 2024, to join her beloved late husband, Harry R. Leight, in eternal peace. Laura was a devoted mother, a cherished grandmother, and a source of love and warmth to all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Judy Allison and her partner Ken Engelke, Sr., Sharon Sessions and Linda Smetana. Laura's presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to shine through her family.

Laura was a doting grandmother to Chris Sessions, who held a special place in her heart. Her love and affection for her family knew no bounds, and she leaves behind beautiful memories that will be cherished forever.

A gathering to celebrate Laura's life will be held at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., located at 7401 Belair Road in Overlea, on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 11:30 am.

Laura will be laid to rest in the Parkwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society at (www.cancer.org). Laura's compassionate spirit lives on through such gestures of generosity, which will help make a positive impact in the fight against cancer.
