Lewis Martin Glaeser, "69" Years Young

It is with heavy hearts and regret that we have to announce the passing of LEWIS MARTIN GLAESER on Thursday, February 6, 2025. Lew was originally from Dundalk, Maryland and was extremely proud of his heritage and upbringing. Lew was a loving and devoted Father, Grandfather (UP), Brother, Brother in law, Uncle, Great Uncle, ex-husband, friend, leader, lecturer, debater, mentor, adrenaline junky, business owner, an extremely hard worker and a naturally gifted craftsman. A beloved friend to all.

Preceded in death by his parents George and Viola Glaeser and his brother George Glaeser Jr. Survived by his three children, Jeannette Glaeser, Stephen Glaeser and Kelly and Matt Palmer; 2 grandchildren, Camryn Palmer and Shyanne Paparo; Adopted brother Ron Waynick, ex-wive’s Stephanie Cross and Cheryl Glaeser; Girlfriend Maria Wetherington and family; parental figure to Taylor and Justin Tice; Brother in law to Stan and Kris Bomert, Darlene Squatrito, Patti and Jeff Miller, Uncle to George and Laura Glaeser, Nicholas Glaeser, Chrissy and Drew Mountan, Hilary and Ray Bomert, Candice and BJ Yantz, Lucas Bomert; Great Uncle to Alex, Julian, Alex, Emily, Coleton, Brenden, Lilli, Gavin, Great Great Uncle to Harrison and Charleston. Last but not least, Lew loved his fur babies Max and Mia (doxies).

Lew always had an insatiable appetite to be the best at everything he did. Lew mentored so many friends throughout his life and could be brutally honest on their effort and ability, but he truly wanted others to rise to their highest potential. Lew took great pride in having the most beautiful yard in the neighborhood. Absolutely a horticulturist at heart, took immense joy in sitting in his sunroom watching the birds and taking pride in his stunning flowers. Lew’s favorite hobbies included water skiing, snow skiing, sea and whitewater kayaking, golf, mountain biking, pickle ball, gardening, skeet shooting, liars poker, long walks in nature with loved ones and spending quality time with friends and family. Lew loved sharing and teaching those that belonged to all of the following organizations, Baltimore Ski Club, Pickle ball Tribe, Loch Raven Skeet & Trap Center and The Baltimore Canoe and Kayak Club.

One of his mother’s favorite sayings was ** You're a GLAESER you can do it!** Lew lived by that moto. He will be missed by many and has definitely left a hole in numerous folk’s hearts.

There will be a Celebration of Life sometime in the near future. Details will get posted here and on Facebook.

To honor Lew’s legacy, please consider donating to the Special Olympics (www.supportspecialolympics.org) or Cylburn Arboretum (www.cylburn.org (410-367-2217) in lieu of flowers.
